Vanna Tamayo brings a well-rounded perspective to mortgage lending, with experience on both the operational and origination sides of the business. She began her career as a Loan Officer Assistant, learning the lending process from the inside out before transitioning into a producing Mortgage Loan Officer and building a successful, primarily self-sourced business through Realtor relationships, referrals, and repeat clients. Her experience as both an assistant and originator has given her a strong understanding of what it takes to create a great lending experience from the first conversation through the closing table.
Vanna’s approach to lending is relationship-driven, hands-on, and rooted in communication. She believes every client deserves to understand their options and feel confident in the decisions they’re making, whether they’re purchasing their first home or their fifth. She loves working through the details, finding solutions for unique scenarios, and being someone her clients and Realtor partners know they can rely on. For Vanna, the relationships have always been the best part of the business. She genuinely loves what she does, and when you love the work and the people you get to do it with, it rarely feels like work.
Now with My City Home Loans, Vanna brings her experience Ryan Gardner’s team, with a focus on creating an exceptional experience for the clients and Realtor partners they serve.
Originally from Novi on the east side of Michigan, Vanna moved to West Michigan to attend Grand Valley State University and quickly fell in love with the Grand Rapids area. She met her husband, Christian, in 2018, and West Michigan became home for good. They now live in Rockford with their daughter and two dachshunds, where they’ve planted roots and are raising their family.
